There was a 1988 made for TV movie called David, starring Bernadette Peters and Matthew Lawrence as David, a six year old who was set on fire by his father.

I have a patron looking for a movie. She believes the name David may be in the title. The movie is based on the true story of David Rothenberg, who was 6 years old in 1983. His father was angry at his mother, so he doused the room, that David was sleeping in, with kerosene and set it ablaze. Davis has recovered remarkably. This took place near Disneyland and Davis now resides in Orange Co. California.
Was a movie made based on this story and if so, does anyone know the name of it?
