The Greene County Public Library is seeking a full-time Head of Youth Services and a full-time Reference Librarian for its Fairborn Community Library.
 
HEAD OF YOUTH SERVICES
Duties include public service, collection development, programming, and managing the day-to-day functions of the Children's Department. Qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited program. Two years supervisory experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of professional library science and administration as evidenced in proven ability in children's and young adult services including storytelling and collection development. Proven knowledge of microcomputer applications for libraries required. Ability to communicate clearly; listens, understands, speaks, and writes effectively. Starting annual salary is $39,499.20 plus excellent benefits.

REFERENCE LIBRARIAN
Duties: Provides information services to adults and children using print and electronic sources. Participates in the development of extensive reference information resources. Participates in the selection of materials. Works with local and central selectors in analyzing, evaluating, and developing the community library's collections. Qualifications: MLS from ALA-accredited program. Proven ability in reference services, including electronic retrieval. Starting annual salary is $30,929.60 plus excellent benefits.
