Salary Range :  $25,700 - $34,300 (for individuals with a MLS degree from an
ALA accredited university)    


Youth Services Coordinator 

Full-time Youth Services Coordinator needed for Auglaize County Public
District Library System to plan, organize, and direct library's system-wide
children's and young adult programs, services and collection development.  

Responsibilities include providing reference assistance to children and
young adult through print and electronic resources; providing readers
advisory for children, young adults, parents and teachers; developing and
coordinating activities for children and young adults; presenting programs
to promote library use; evaluating, selecting and ordering books and other
materials appropriate for the needs of children and young adults.  

Job qualifications include ability to use Internet and other new information
technologies; ability to work effectively with schools and other community
organizations; knowledge of children's and young adult's literature and
collection development methods; experience working with planning and
presenting programs for children and young adults, and excellent community
relation skills required. MLS preferred.  Youth Services Coordinator may be
required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and
occasionally drive within or outside of the county to perform job duties. 

Benefits include 3.08 vac. hrs/bi-wkly, 4.62 sick leave hrs/bi-wkly, 11
holidays (3 of the holidays are floaters), personal day, health ins. for the
employee with 85% of the premium paid for by the library, tuition
reimbursement program, and deferred compensation.
