[OPLINLIST] Kid-proof headphones?!...

We solved the problem of headphones by telling parents and library users
they can bring their own headphones or purchase ear buds for $1. No one
has complained and it is saving us a lot in staff time and stress.
We were concerned about head lice and other critters and germs as well as
the problem of finding reasonably priced headphones that can take the abuse
of public use. The 2 year olds are not the problem here, but the older
kids who think "trash-the-headphones" is a sport worthy of inclusion in the
Olympics.

Please respond on-list. I'm sure we could all use some pointers here!

Thanks,
