[OPLINLIST] Library Director Position opening

The Canal Fulton Public Library is a small school district library located in northwest Stark County, Ohio. It serves the NorthwestLocalSchool District. 

The Board of Trustees is looking for an energetic director to assume a leadership role in all aspects of the operation of the Library. 

Requirements for the position include:
MLS from an ALA accredited library school.Five years of professional library experienceThree years of supervisory experienceExperience working with personal computers and electronic resourcesExcellent communication skillsAbility to self-manage and maintain a professional image
Because of the age of parts of the Library, maintenance and repair activities can be time consuming. The ideal candidate will have experience selecting, working with, and supervising contractors.

The ideal candidate will also be very familiar with all legal aspects of library operation, including open records requirements and the Sunshine Law. 

The director will have to interact with various community organizations and political leaders. The Canal Fulton community and the School District are small with all of the related aspects of a small town life style.

The Library is housed in an historic building in downtown Canal Fulton. The Library staff is first rate and is committed to serving our patrons. The Library recently passed an operating levy.
