We have some new public performance DVDs on our MediaNet site that might be of interest for this year's summer reading program.  Please excuse multiple postings.


Bee and Wasp: 30 min.:Zack discovers a hole in his backyard is really a bee's nest.  Along the way, Spider Gal learns that in the bee world females rule! Wasp - Bug Boy and Locust Lady have found a nest of baby bugs.  Now they just need to find out what bugs they've found and where they belong, before it's too late.

Diary of a Worm: 8 min.: Meet a worm not that different from you or me, except that his head looks a lot like his tail! A hysterical journal about the daily doings and the hidden world of a lovable underground dweller that will be sure to delight kids both young and old.

Insect: 62 min.: Insect zooms in on a world of creatures that are industrious, sociable, and environmentally useful, but that are nevertheless avoided and ignored.

The Jeff Corwin Experience; Insects and Arachnids: 30 min.: How do spiders and other arachnids differ from insects?  Travel around the world with Jeff to learn the answer.  You'll visit Spain to look at the dung beetle, Morocco to view scorpions, and Africa to observe termites.

The lives of Ants & Bees for Students. Bees & Plants: 12 min.: Highlight the world of ants and bees and show students how these small insects play big roles in nature.  Students will travel inside hives and houses to see how each community survives, communicates, and cooperates.

Mosquito and Water Strider: 30 min.: This live-action series follows the adventures of nine-year old Zack and his best friend Allysha.  Zack's imagination transforms his suburban backyard into a wild land that is teaming with bug life.

Roberto the Insect Architect: 11 min.: A termite named Roberto follows his dream of becoming an architect and travels to the big city where he hopes to find success.
