[OPLINLIST] Programming idea - hand drumming

Hello from the Grandview Heights Public Library! Here is a great program idea!

More than 60 people of all ages attended "Hand Drumming with Hakan Kaya" here in January. Hakan is a well-respect hand drummer in Columbus OH, usually brings another drummer to help him, brings a number of drums & percussion instruments, is fun and funny and great with kids, and is able to work with your budget. Highly recommended!

Keep in mind, it is a noisy program and is focused on simple - not advanced - techniques that all ages (children especially) will enjoy. You will want to do this outside in the summer or in an enclosed room, which worked fine for us. Also, you may need to set a sign-up sheet with maximum attendance, depending on your space issues.

Just thought we'd pass this along. It was a great program!
