You are invited to a special program, co-sponsored by the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Society for Information Science & Technology (CO-ASIS&T) and the Special Libraries Association (SLA) on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at The Columbus Dispatch:

What types of information and systems does a news library (and a newspaper) use? We'll answer that question by looking at the information systems, tools and the physical facilities of the editorial library at the Columbus Dispatch. The Dispatch uses a variety of open source tools to build and present the Dispatch's editorial intranet. Come and see what's involved in providing research information to a news organization.

Presenter Julie Albert, Information Specialist for the Columbus Dispatch, has an MLS from Kent State University and a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from OSU. Join us for this program, specially co-sponsored by CO-ASIS&T and the SLA. This program is free, however, registration is limited.
