[OPLINLIST] State Library of Ohio announces Ohio Ready to Read LSTA special grants

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the availability of
LSTA funds for a special grant program associated with the Ohio Ready to
Read program. The State Library of Ohio and the Ohio Library Council in
partnership administer the Ohio Ready to Read program, an ongoing
statewide initiative, to help address the early literacy needs of Ohio's
youngest citizens.  

 

Under this special grant program, public libraries will have the ability
to purchase the second edition of PLA/ALSC's early literacy outreach
toolkit, Every Child Ready to Read (r) @ your library(r) 2nd edition
(ECRR2).  Individual proposals may not exceed a request of $1511 in
federal funds.  A cash match of 25% of the total project amount is
required.  Only the kits themselves may be purchased using project
funds.  

 

Approved proposals will run from October 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. 

 

Proposals should be submitted electronically to Missy Lodge at 
mlodge at library.ohio.gov and due at the State Library by midnight
September 19, 2011.
