Westlake Porter Public Library is seeking a 32 hour Human Resources Manager:

Masters Degree in Business Administration or related field.  Minimum five years human resource management experience, preferably in the public sector.  PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Requires knowledge of human resources principles, theories and concepts, command of Ohio and federal employment law and trends.  High ethical standards and confidentiality with personnel information are essential.  Excellent administrative skills, including the ability to monitor, evaluate, and provide continuous feedback required.  Ability to coach, train, and mentor staff development is essential.  

Strong written, verbal, customer service and interpersonal skills needed.  Flexibility, along with good-humor, customer focus, change and team oriented skills are a must.  Ability to work with the Windows based operating system, word-processing, spreadsheets, email, and library software programs at a highly proficient level.  Proficient verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are required.  

Ability to communicate and function effectively in a team-oriented environment is critical.  Excellent public services skills are a must.  

Reporting to the Director, this position is responsible for directing the human resource function for the library.  Duties include:  HR Administration, Organizational Development, Recruitment and Selection, Benefits Administration, Personnel Policy Development, Training and Development, Legal Compliance, Internal Communication, Compensation and Performance Management, and Employee Relations.
