[OPLINLIST] Carolyn Savage, Author of 'Inconceivable, ' to Visit Tuscarawas County Public Library on April 20

Author Carolyn Savage will be visiting the New Philadelphia location of the
Tuscarawas County Public Library System on Saturday, April 20 at 2PM. Her
visit marks the first installment in the library's 2013 Visiting Author
Series. 

 

When Savage underwent an in-vitro fertilization transfer in February 2009,
she knew it would be her last chance. If she became pregnant, she would
celebrate the baby as an answer to her prayers. If not, she would be
grateful for the family she had and leave her fertility struggles behind. 

 

She never imagined a third option: Carolyn was pregnant, but the clinic had
transferred the wrong embryos. She was carrying someone else's baby. 

 

Carolyn and her husband chronicled their experience in the book
Inconceivable: A Medical Mistake, the Baby We Couldn't Keep, and Our Choice
to Deliver the Ultimate Gift (Harper Collins, 2011). Booklist hails
Inconceivable as "compelling" and "well told." The Savages' story has been
recently featured on news outlets such as Dateline, the TODAY Show, and
Katie Couric.

 

The event is free and open to the public. Registration may be done by
calling the library's New Philadelphia location at 330.364.4474 ext. 101.
The library is located at 121 Fair Avenue in New Philadelphia. 

 

The Tuscarawas County Public Library's 2013 Visiting Author Series is made
possible, in part, through contributions from the New Philadelphia Friends
of the Library, the Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union, Grantstreet Creative,
and Wherley Optical.
