Shaker Heights Public Library is seeking a full-time IT Technician to maintain and provide technical support for the Library’s computer systems, network and software. 

Responsibilities include: 
•	Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware, software, and local area networks
•	Monitoring network performance and availability and taking action to resolve problems and correct malfunctions
•	Providing help desk services to staff
•	Responding to and resolving technology problems reported by staff
•	Evaluating technology to determine potential upgrades and new product installation
•	Maintaining backups of critical Library systems

Requirements:
•	Knowledge of desktop operating systems, local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), Windows Server Family Operating Systems
•	Ability to install and configure desktop operating systems, applications and hardware drivers as well as demonstrated troubleshooting skills and problem solving techniques in a computer technology environment.
•	Knowledge of remote deployment and management tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Symantec Altiris, scripting, etc.
•	Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, and an ability to prioritize tasks
•	Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
•	Experience with online forms and website development a plus

Salary range is $15.32-$17.50 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications.
