Dear SLIS colleagues,

I have uploaded a YouTube video called "Resource Description & Access (RDA) Basics for Copy Catalogers," http://youtu.be/6IUyBaDdc8c

We in KSU's Technical Services Department face a periodic need to introduce new staff and graduate student assistants to RDA, and figured that having them watch a YouTube video would be more efficient than training each face to face.

Another motivation for creating the video was to help fill the need for training among public and school library catalogers.

This is geared for copy catalogers, and also for original catalogers who are new to RDA.  It is 55 minutes long.

You are very welcome to use it with your students, if you think it's appropriate.  I'd also appreciate it if you alerted discussion lists for public and school libraries to its existence.
