[OPLINLIST] To those of you with mascots

I have outsourced this for years.  A friend of mine  let's call him Ed .will
dress up like a bookmark and he converts his Subaru into a book.  He does
raps and songs.  One day in particular he was 

In the front of my library chanting when I say books you say
mark.book.mark.book.mark.

 

The cops were called we all had a good laugh.

 

If not I could book mark it up?   Don't know if Ed does this sort of thing
or if I just made it up.

Hello OPLINpeople,
I have a couple of questions to ask to those of you with mascots.  We have
one, however, sometimes it is difficult to get a staff person to wear the
costume. (It's a HOT costume, only a certain body type looks great in
him...etc.)

 

Has anyone ever hired someone special to just wear the costume?  If so, how
much do you pay?  OR...does anyone have a designated volunteer to wear your
mascot costume and have you ever advertised for such a special person to
just be your library's mascot?  I'm wishing to take our mascot to a whole
other level.

 

If anyone has anything helpful to add, please email off list.
