The Ohio Library Council's Reference & Information Services Division is pleased to bring you "Using Copyright and Licenses to Your Advantage in the Public Library Setting"<http://www.olc.org/prof_dev_copyright14.php> on Thursday, May 8, 2014 presented by Tomas A. Lipinski, J.D., LL.M., PhD.

Do you find more and more questions regarding copyright law in your library including using images, photos, music, and film clips, etc.?

Do you wonder who to believe when you read about copyright in the news stories- Google, Hathti Trust, Redigi, publishers, and owners of users?

Do you wonder what to tell patrons about copyright or whether or how to follow the law in your library or how to explain concerns to your library trustees?

Do you want to know how to think about the copyright law so you can teach yourself and others in the future and answer your own questions and those of others in the future?

If so, then this informative day-long session is for you!

Professor Lipinski is an engaging speaker whose knowledge of law and its practical application in the library world will benefit all workshop attendees.

Registration is limited to 35 and the session will be canceled if there are not enough registrants, so please register early. Registration will close on 5/5/2014.
