Below is a compilation of the results I received about Notaries in the library.  



11 libraries have no formal policies

3 libraries have formal policies

3 libraries do not advertise    (one reason – the service may not always be available)

2 libraries did not pay fees 

12 libraries reimbursed fees

3 libraries have one Notary 

8 libraries have multiple Notaries  

One library asks that appointments are made, but if the person does not have an appointment, will provide the service if the staff person is available.

Some individuals choose not to provide the service outside the library, but it is their choice.

Some libraries ask for donations but are not able to charge for the service.
 
One library maintains a few cheat sheets to help the notaries with questions and needed signature sheets.
