[OPLINLIST] Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning transition

Good morning—

It seems that libraries are receiving emails instructing you to "schedule
your upgrade from Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning."

That was unexpected. I was led to believe that we would have a measure of
control over who would receive these emails and when, anticipating that we
would have an opportunity to warn you and offer clear instructions.
LinkedIn, however, seems bent on chaos, and I am genuinely sorry for the
confusion this causes.

My advice is to set it aside for now, and I will send out additional
information when I receive it.

Despite LinkedIn's surprising rush forward, we will do our best to honor
the wishes of those libraries who tell us that they do not want to move
their patrons to the new platform.
