*Full-Time Children's Librarian (2) *

Are you looking for a place to grow in knowledge yet use your creative
talent? Do you enjoy engaging with patrons the size of babies and kids up
to age twelve and their caretakers? Do you like a work environment in a
mid-size library where you have the freedom to try new ideas?

We have openings for *two* full-time librarians at GMPL where our recently
updated department serves the Midview community.

As a self-motivated and engaged member of the youth services team, you will
plan and implement services for children and families, and structure
programs to incorporate skills from Every Child Ready to Read. As a
professional librarian, you are well versed in the developmental needs of
children, understand your customer needs, and enjoy connecting them with
the right solutions. We will assist you with your essential functions by
providing continuous professional development, paid membership to ALA, PLA,
ALSC, OLC, and NEO-RLS, plus provide opportunities to attend conferences
with these organizations, all paid by GMPL. You are expected to promote
children services and programs and form collaborations with outside
organizations. Inside the library, you are expected to develop constructive
and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over

life insurance for your wellbeing. Our current salary range for this
position is $15 – $22 an hour for a 37.5-hour work week.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an
ALA accredited college or university required.
