Birchard Public Library of Sandusky County in Fremont, Ohio
Position:  Fiscal Officer/Business Manager
Deadline:  Position vacant as of February 8, 2020.  Applications accepted until position filled.
Pay rate:  $29.87 per hour, healthcare benefits, 20 days vacation.
Schedule:  Full-time, 37.5 hour standard work week, including days, evenings and weekends.
Required education and experience:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business finance, or a related field and knowledge of human resources laws and regulations required.  Knowledge of local government accounting and fiscal management preferred.  Management and supervisory experience preferred.  Minimum of three years of experience utilizing applicable skills required.
General summary:  This position reports to the library director and to the Board of Trustees.  The position is responsible for managing the finances and business functions of the library.  The position serves as Fiscal Officer for the Board of Trustees.  The incumbent assists the director with major library projects.  The position supervises and evaluates the Building and Grounds Supervisor, the Bookkeeper, and the Administrative Assistant.  The position requires public contact, including vendors, government officials, media, patrons, and employees of local businesses.  The incumbent works closely with other staff and the Board of Trustees.  This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
