An Evening with Kate White, Author of The Fiancée

On Wednesday, June 30 at 7 p.m. the Hudson Library & Historical Society will host a live virtual streaming event with Kate White, author of The Fiancée. Publishers Weekly calls this book “A skillfully constructed page-turner” and states “Expert pacing, characters readers can love to hate, and an intelligent heroine make this a winner.”

The Fiancée is a riveting psychological thriller about a captivating young woman who joins a family and threatens to upend their picture-perfect lives. Summer, her husband Gabe, and Gabe’s young son arrive at the annual family gathering at her in-laws’ sprawling estate for a relaxing family vacation. Gabe’s brother Nick has invited his new fiancée, who charms everyone but Summer. When a family member is found dead in the pool, Summer fears that the too-good-to-be-true Hannah is involved and, as she investigates, suspects that the first death might only be the beginning.

White is the New York Times bestselling author of eight standalone psychological thrillers, as well as eight Bailey Weggins mysteries, including Such a Perfect Wife, which was nominated for an International Thriller Writers Award. White, the former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, is also the author of several popular career books for women, including I Shouldn't Be Telling You This: How to Ask for the Money, Snag the Promotion, and Create the Career You Deserve and Why Good Girls Don’t Get Ahead, as well the editor of the Anthony and Agatha Award-nominated The Mystery Writers of America Cookbook.

Copies of The Fiancée will be available for purchase courtesy of the Learned Owl Book Shop. Registration for this program is required at hudsonlibrary.org. Participants will receive an email invitation to attend the program, hosted on Zoom, the day of the program.
