Office of Information Technology Customer Update - November 18, 2005

Scheduled Maintenance:

When: Every Tuesday

Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
November 22 - OIT engineers will make configuration changes to our
Internet Border Routers (ISPRHO and ISPSOC). Brief outages are expected.
November 22 - OIT engineers will be replacing a power supply in a router
(OITSOC3) within the OIT Enterprise Network. No outage is expected.
November 22, 29, December 6, 13, 20 - OIT engineers will be migrating
customers to the new Columbus Core Network. These moves will be
coordinated with the customers by their customer engineers. 
During the migration to the new Columbus Core Network, customer
engineers are planning to work with each agency on current and future
bandwidth requirements.
Completed Maintenance:
November 15 - OIT engineers made a configuration change to our Internet
Border Routers (ISPRHO and ISPSOC).
November 15 - Emergency Maintenance - OIT engineers restarted the
Internet Border Routers (ISPRHO and ISPSOC) as the first step to
resolving a memory issue.
Monthly Firewall Maintenance:

When: Third Tuesday of every Month

Next Scheduled Maintenance: December 20, 2005

Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

The Network Security Group will be performing firewall maintenance. Less
than three minute outages are expected during the maintenance window.
