[OPLINTECH] Patrons using bandwidth

Youtube, myspace, and java related games like Runescape seem to be the major players so far. Also, 5 out of 6 of our branches do NOT use an outside internet, they are on our system. When dealing with streaming audio and video in mass...the results are brutal.

Subject: Patrons using bandwidth

Hi Josh and Ed,

I provide the technical support to a number of libraries in Southwest
Ohio. This is not a solicitation.

One of my libraries has asked me about this issue when they read your
thread on the OPLINlist.

What are the patrons doing that takes up so much bandwidth?

Thanks,

Bill
