Technology IT Manager

 

About the library/ community:  Ritter Public Library serves residents of the
Vermilion Local School District and surrounding area, a population of
approximately 11,00, with a large summer population.  In 2007, there were
12,395 registered cardholders.  Vermilion is located on the Lake Erie
shoreline, 45 minutes west of Cleveland.  The library has been a member of
the Clevnet library consortium since 1984.  In 2007, voters approved a 1 mil
replacement levy, as well as a $3.5 million dollar bond issue.  Schematic
design is almost complete, and includes a 20+ station computer area/ lab.

 

Who we're looking for:  Someone with knowledge and expertise in a variety of
computer hardware and software applications.  The individual will assume the
responsibility of nurturing this growing segment of library service,
training staff and public in traditional and emerging technologies.  

 

 

Position:  This newly created position has a salary range of $37,440-
$41,600 depending on qualifications. Scheduled hours include evening and
weekends.

 

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or
an equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of 1 year on
the job experience; MLIS preferred.
