[OPLINTECH] Using Wireless Data for Remote Circulation?

Hi,

I'd be interested in hearing from libraries that are using a wireless
data plan (cellular data connection) to support remote circulation
services via notebook or "netbook" computer. We are looking into
improved means of providing on-site circulation services to individuals
and institutions in our suburban setting.

Questions include: Who is your provider? What sort of data plan did you
purchase from your provider -- data only? "Web"? Does the system work
reliably with your ILS? Is your "netbook" powerful enough for your staff
circulation client? Any difficulties remotely connecting to your ILS?
Gotchas, either technical or contractual?

Thanks.
