http://www.dspace.org/ and http://www.greenstone.org/ are two of the more well known Open Source Digital Library Collection Management systems.

OCLC also offers a hosted ContentDM solution that might be worth investigating depending on the size of your collection.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Local History Content Software

Our library is working with our local Historical Society and planning on hosting some audio, video & picture files for them on our servers.  I was wondering, if any of you have done this and know of a good software program that will allow searching and will work for this content.  I have heard of ContentDM by OCLC, and looked at examples.  It looks good, but seems very pricey.  Thanks for all your ideas.
