Long experience says, get whichever one comes in the model of computer
that A) has the most RAM now and B) has the largest possible number
(preferably at least four) of RAM slots on the motherboard. When the
system is 4-6 years old, the amount of RAM is usually the factor that
determines whether the system is still usable or has to be replaced.

Unfortunately, right now that raises the question of 32-bit versus
64-bit, which is a thornier issue.
