[OPLINTECH] Hearing impared

Wondering if any one has any experience with speech to text for the 
hearing impaired?  Ideally this would be a stand alone portable unit.  
We have experimented with this feature in windows but it is pretty voice 
specific and thus does not really meet our needs...  Thanks for any 
thought or suggestions on this....
