[OPLINTECH] HP Passport 1912nm internet monitor

For web kiosk, I've successfully used Thinstation (
http://www.thinstation.org). Just about any old PC that will boot via PXE
works. It remote boots via PXE, pulling the thinstation (very minimal
linux) OS from a local TFTP server and jumps right into a Firefox session.
The home page can be configured via a config file on the TFTP server. No
desktop to lock down and if someone does manage to hack or trash the OS,
simply reboot...just like Deep Freeze. Great for browser-based catalog-only
computers (or maybe browser-based circ-only computers if you can manage the
receipt printer drivers).

My two (unsolicited) cents.

Chad
