[OPLINTECH] Avast Free for Education

I am in the exact same spot as you Kevin. We have been using SEP, also
bought from Techsoup, but it got to the point where a computer would be so
incredibly slow that it was unusable, completely due to the SEP software.

I looked into Avast's free program for schools and libraries and
immediately applied, as I use Avast for my home computers and love it. So
far I haven't received a reply, and it's been at least 2 months. At this
point I am getting kind of antsy and really want to get a new AV solution
in place, but if I pay for SEP again and Techsoup, we will be stuck with
that.

If you can get Avast to give you a response and get that set up, I would
say go for it. I would already have switched if I could get them to
actually respond.

Out of curiosity, are you unable to get SEP renewed through Techsoup? I may
have to just go with it at this point, and when I checked it was only a $2
admin fee per user license.
