Last September, Oxford Reference (http://oplin.org/oxford) launched a new site interface that improves searching. The new interface enables users to access and cross-search Oxford’s reference works and extends its usefulness by opening up free material for general web searching and linking. The quick search and advanced search functionality enables results to be sorted by relevance, title, author name, current online version date, or length, while also enabling filtering by reference type, subject, content set or illustrations.

To familiarize librarians with these new features, Oxford will be presenting a free webinar for Ohio public library staff on Tuesday, February 12th at 10:00am. The only thing needed is registration - no special software (just computer and phone). Oxford uses WebEx for their online sessions, so it's web-based and easy.

Librarians may go to this link to register: http://tinyurl.com/aezbytw

Once the reservation request is approved, registrants will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining the meeting. Tip: on the confirmation page, all the way to the right, registrants can invite other colleagues to join them in the session.
