We use Fax24. They are pretty easy to setup and require little intervention from IT once setup. Fax24 handles any troubleshooting. The machines take prepaid cards you can sell to patrons or credit cards.

Does anyone use a fax service in place of a public fax machine ?
We have been having some line issues that effect how well our fax machine works since our provider changed from using a t-1 to a voip solution using a cable modem.
I am aware there are prebuilt/configured all-in-one solutions that typically have a PC with a scanner that will do scanning and faxing. I am not looking for an all-in-one bundled solution/product from a single company. We currently have a scanner connected to a computer available for public use. I am looking for a user friendly fax service that I could add to this machine that would be suitable for self service public use to send and receive faxes.

Thanks in advance!
