[OPLINTECH] HP recall

Saw the announcement about the 6 million recall.
Thanks for the follow up info.

It's going to cost a bundle, even though HP won't (or can't) do them all.
Saving grace, for HP, is they should have insurance to offset it.
Downside is, insurance companies will somehow pass the cost on to everyone else.

I managed a couple of important safety recall's for Mettler-Toledo.
Different animal as a tech had to visit each site and only in the thousands.
But took months to do, pretty much full time for me.
And each tech visit probably was a half a day average.
Just about all the cost went right to insurance.

These recalls usually don't have a time limit either.
One of M-T's was for equipment sold in the 50's & 60's.
Lane is still retrofitting locks from cedar chest's sold in the 30's.
