[OPLINTECH] Windows 10 computers

Windows 10 is a little frustrating because you get forced through the Win10
initial setup upon first startup. The trick that I've found is to NOT
connect the computer to any Internet access. Don't hard wire into Ethernet
and skip the WiFi setup. When you do it this way you get the option to
setup a local user account and don't need a Microsoft account. During this
step we create a local administrator user with a custom user name and
difficult/secure password.

Once fully logged into Windows as that user, we join to the domain and use
domain accounts with Group Policy from then on. The biggest frustration is
during that initial setup. Win10 requires a Microsoft account if you
connect the computer to any sort of Internet access which is very annoying
since we don't use Microsoft accounts and don't want to.

Thanks,
Joe
