Definitely do your own research before taking up this strategy, but I had a
thought and did 45 seconds of Googling:   UV light

The link suggests that UV light does kill the novel coronavirus.

It could be trivial to design a smallish box in which touchscreen devices
might be placed for safe UV disinfection. You would need to research if UV
light would negatively affect electronic devices, though. I have not made
time to do this research myself; it was just a passing thought I decided to
toss out there in case someone wants to follow up.
