Good Morning E-Rate/ECF Community,



This is a reminder of upcoming E-Rate deadlines:

*October 13, 2021 – ECF 2nd Form 471 Window deadline.  *Applications must
be submitted by 11:59 PM in order to be considered “In Window”.



*October 28, 2021 - FY2020 BEAR (Form 472)* deadline for recurring services
(received July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021)





   - *To login to the BEAR portal, you no longer need a PIN, but make sure
   you have access.* Anyone who previously had a BEAR PIN should still have
   access just by entering the Billed Entity Number after clicking on the BEAR
   option under OnePortal. However, there have been system issues where that
   is not the case.  If you receive an error message stating you don’t have
   access, call USAC at 888-203-8100.
   - If you need additional time to file the BEAR, you may request and
   automatically receive a single 120-day extension of the invoicing deadline
   to submit invoices to USAC. *The request for an invoice extension must
   be submitted on or before October 28, 2021, for the request to be timely
   filed.*
   - To request the extension within *EPC* click on the Billed Entity name
   on your Landing Page under “My Entities”, and then “Related
Actions”. The “*Invoice
   Deadline Date Extension Request*” tool is the last item in the menu list.


*October 29, 2021 – First FY2021 Form 486* deadline for funding letters
issued* on/before July 1st, 2021*

   - The Form 486 deadline is 120 days from the FCDL date, or the service
   start date (typically July 1st), whichever is later.
   - Applicants missing any Form 486 deadline will receive a “Form 486
   Urgent Reminder Letters” in EPC. These reminders afford applicants a 15-day
   extension to submit their Form 486s without penalty.

Also, if you’ve not registered for an upcoming E-Rate FY2022 Fall/Form 470
workshop, please do so by going to
https://ceohio.evanced.info/signup/EventDetails?EventId=1700  to register
for the October 27th event.
