Hi Joyce,

We are working closely with Jeff at Toledo.  The issue has been identified as the doc size that was being used for testing was not consistent with the spec of the machine for 600dpi – a fuller explanation from the tech folks is forthcoming.  Kirtas is coordinating re-test on Wednesday when our installer will be onsite.  As soon as that plan is confirmed (pending confirmation from the independent tester) I will update you.

Good morning, Barry.

We learned this morning that the Toldeo's scanner did not pass FADGI level 2 standards.  I know that you are working with the Kirtas team to address this and that you believe it to be a specific machine issue. This is a concern for us, nevertheless, and we are monitoring what happens with Toledo closely.  We will not authorize shipment of the scanner to CPL until we are satisfied that the scanner will meet specifications.

Hi Joyce,

I incorporated and accepted all your comments, then redlined over Paragraph 5 re Maintenance and Training.  I reviewed this with Michael Hansen and the redline reflects what he says was quoted.  To be clear, the $5,548 is a first year labor only quote (since parts are included in the warranty).  This means that anything breaks they send out a technician to fix it at no additional cost for parts or labor.  This is what Toledo purchased.  If maintenance is desired in the second year, it is parts and labor and is $9,400 (10% of purchase rather than 5% of purchase price).  He said there was much discussion on this and he thought it was clear.

This agreement is acceptable to i2S, IIRI, and Kirtas.  We have been holding the equipment for shipment and I would like to proceed with scheduling shipment if you are able.  Through this assignment you have 100% guarantee of satisfaction to the contract through both IIRI and i2S.  I will continue to make sure all this goes well.

Please let me know if we can proceed with signatures.
