Hi Stephen and all:
I'm signed in and it does look like the Office 365 will work for me. I'll check in with Katrina and we'll start editing and contributing as discussed at our last call.
Thanks for setting this up so quickly.
Paula

Well, I never thought I'd be saying good things about Microsoft vs. open source.
Karl and I both agreed that all the open source online document management tools we tried were just too clunky and "raw" to be useful. So we played around a bit with the Office 365 subscription of an acquaintance and yesterday I bought my own subscription.
>From what I can tell, I should be able to share a "digihubs" folder in my subscription and then invite people to edit it. I think you should be able to upload, download, edit documents online, and create new subfolders. (Not sure if you can delete, didn't try that yet.) I think you can also get email alerts when there's activity in the digihubs folder.
So today I'm going to figure out a few more things, then I'll invite: Meg and Gayle from Toledo; Chatham from Cleveland; Angela and Aaron from Columbus; and Paula and Katrina from Cincinnati. If you don't already have a Microsoft account, you'll need to create one, but they walk you through that process when you open the invite, and it's pretty painless.
If those folks think this solution will work as a place to share and collaborate on metadata, policies, pricing, etc., then I can invite more folks. If we think this won't work, I'll look for something else.
Stephen
