The textile preservation workshop in Oberlin scheduled for the afternoon of 
November 20th has filled and they have decided to add a second date. So now 
participants can attend in the same location on Tuesday morning November 
21, 9-12 if they prefer.

Wondering how to properly care for the textiles that you treasure, 
including quilts, samplers, flags, or even grandma's wedding gown? Join us 
for a workshop which is designed for anyone with a love of old textiles, 
including collectors, students, and historical society and museum staff and 
volunteers. Two sessions of the same workshop will be offered at the 
*Oberlin Depot*, located at *240 South Main Street* in Oberlin, Ohio.

Workshops will be taught by textile conservator

Director of Museum Textile Services in Andover, Massachusetts**

Working with objects from the Oberlin Heritage Center collection, you will 
learn the basics of archival materials and methods, including flat, rolled, 
and folded storage. Keys for properly storing your textiles without 
spending a fortune will also be discussed.

Daughter of Oberlin Heritage Center member and super volunteer Sarah 
MacLennan Kerr, *Camille Myers Breeze* (OC '91) got her start in 
conservation in 1988 while a student at Oberlin. After earning a B.A. in 
Art History from Oberlin College, she received a M.A. in Museum Studies 
from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1993, specializing in costume 
and textile conservation. For five years she was an assistant conservator 
at the Textile Conservation Laboratory, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 
in New York City. She was an advanced Mellon fellow at the Textile 
Conservation Center, American Textile History Museum, in Lowell, 
Massachusetts before founding Museum Textile Services in 1999. Camille is a 
Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation of 
Historic and Artistic Works. She counts the Oberlin Heritage Center among 
her nation-wide clients.

Preregistration is required and costs $35 ($30 for Oberlin Heritage Center 
members); fee waived for full-time students with advance registration. 
Proceeds will benefit collections projects at the Oberlin Heritage Center.
