Wright State University Libraries seek an energetic and self-motivated
professional to serve as Metadata Librarian in the newly created
Digital Services Department in the University Libraries. Reporting to
the Head of Digital Services, the Metadata Librarian will be
responsible for metadata and associated authority control, quality
control, maintaining metadata standards, and other duties associated
with the creation and maintenance of data related to digital materials.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science (from an
ALA accredited program), public history, or related field; minimum one
year experience working with digital collections; experience creating,
capturing, and processing images in a variety of digital formats;
knowledge of metadata standards, such as Dublin Core, METS, EAD, and
TEI; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary: Minimum $40,000.
