Position Announcement: Assistant Archivist, Columbus, Ohio

Nationwide Insurance, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a 
full-time assistant archivist to work in the daily operations of the 
corporate history and archives department. Responsibilities include: 
processing corporate records based on archival industry processing 
standards; cataloging processed records; rehousing and preserving 
photographic and audiovisual records; digitizing select corporate records 
as needed; and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will 
also support the corporate archivist through research, writing and 
digitization in support of heritage-related research and reference 
inquiries, and for exhibits and displays.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in history, library and information sciences, or a 
related field (master?s a plus); minimum of 2 years experience working in 
a formal archival setting, preferably a business or organizational 
archives; experience processing organizational or business records; 
experience cataloging archival records or providing metadata information 
for electronic assets; experience using Re:discovery a plus; strong 
organizational and interpersonal skills, and experience working with 
patrons at all levels of an organization.
