Subject: [ALAO] Digital Librarian Temporary Appointment at Ohio Wesleyan

Digital Librarian (0708-0044)

Ohio Wesleyan University seeks an energetic, creative, and service-oriented 
librarian for a temporary assignment as a digital librarian.  An initial 
project will be the digitization of material related to Branch Rickey and 
his connection to Ohio Wesleyan University.  This is a five month 
appointment that reports to the Head of Public Services.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of copyright, intellectual access and digital rights management 
issues
Demonstrated strategic planning and project management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a challenging and 
complex environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in library science from an ALA accredited institution
Knowledge of cataloging, metadata and archival storage standards
Experience with digitization projects/initiatives
Experience in planning and implementing library digitization projects
Familiarity with digital asset management systems such as CONTENTdm
Familiarity with web development tools such as Dreamweaver
