[SOA] Free Project Management Training from AASLH

Please share the following announcement with colleagues:
AASLH is still accepting applications for its Project Management for
History Professionals workshops, funded by a grant from the Institute of
Museum and Library Services.
The workshops offer 35 hours of formal project management training for
history professionals. The training consists of 24 hours of workshop
instruction plus 11 hours of follow-up live webinar training and
qualifies participants to sit for the project management certification
exam through Project Management International (PMI).
The workshops are offered free of charge to participants through the
IMLS grant funding. A $200 travel stipend is reimbursed to workshop
participants after the follow-up webinar training is completed. Workshop
locations and dates are:
1. March 16-18, 2010 at Strawbery Banke Museum, Portsmouth, NH.
Registration closes March 5.
2. March 30-April 1, 2010 at the Maryland Historical Society,
Baltimore, MD. Registration closes March 15.
3. April 20-22, 2010 at the Indiana Historical Society,
Indianapolis, IN. Registration closes April 5.
4. April 27-29, 2010 at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark,
Birmingham, AL. Registration closes April 15.
5. May 4-6, 2010 at the Washington State Historical Society,
Tacoma, WA. Registration closes April 20.
6. June 2-4, 2010 at the Texas Historical Commission, Austin, TX.
Registration closes May 15.
