Registration is now open for the 2013 Special Collections & Archives Spring
WorkshopOutreach in Special Collections & Archives

*ALAO’s Special Collections & Archives Interest Group will be holding its
first Spring Workshop on Friday, May 10, 2013 at OhioNet in Columbus,
Ohio.  The topic will be Outreach for Special Collections and Archives and
we will have a speaker panel and discussion. *

*Speakers:*

·         *Jacky Johnson, Western College Archivist, Miami University*

·         *Melanie McGurr, Instruction and Access Librarian for Special
Collections, Ohio State University*

·         *Arjun Sabharwal, Digital Initiatives Librarian, University of
Toledo*

* *

*The workshop will begin at 10:00 and check-in will begin at 9:30.  Lunch
will be served and we anticipate the day ending no later than 2:30.  We
hope that this workshop will be a great opportunity for special collections
librarians, archivists, and academic librarians in general to talk about
successes in the area of outreach and exchange ideas on better promoting
Ohio’s special collections and archives.  *
