Would you help preserve and promote Ohio History for as little as $8 if it were easy and made an impact in your local community? Every year when you complete your state income tax return, you automatically have the option to donate some portion of your refund to the Ohio History Tax Check-Off<https://connect.ohiohistory.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fwww.ohiohistory.org%2fmakehistory&srcid=10907&srctid=1&erid=1654039&trid=c4c62d90-9ac9-4e43-a30c-534cd0ceb250> and help fund a grant program for local history-related projects across the state. The average donation is about $8 and your donation is tax deductible for the next calendar year.

Can you help the Ohio History Tax Check-Off reach its goal of $150,000 in donations? Reaching this goal will ensure that Ohio History will be on the state’s income tax form in future years. We need to generate at least $75,000 in donations in these last two weeks before the April 15 tax deadline.

It’s easy to donate to Ohio History on your state tax return. Look for "Ohio Historical Society" on your Ohio tax return (line 27c on Ohio IT1040<https://connect.ohiohistory.org/page.redir?target=http%3a%2f%2fwww.ohiohistory.org%2fFile%2520Library%2fAbout%2520Us%2fTax%2520Check-off%2f2013OhioIT1040.pdf&srcid=10907&srctid=1&erid=1654039&trid=c4c62d90-9ac9-4e43-a30c-534cd0ceb250>) and designate a dollar amount. That’s it. Your tax-deductible donation goes to support history projects in local Ohio communities.
