Call for Session Proposals for the 2016 NAGARA Annual Conference

The Annual Conference of the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA) will be held in Lansing, MI from July 13-16, 2016. We encourage you to propose sessions that will inspire and engage your professional colleagues.

The 2016 Program Committee seeks sessions and presentations on any aspect of archives and records management practices—local, national, and international—as well as their intersections with other professions and domains.

Proposals will be evaluated on:
1.      Strength of the 150-word abstract;
2.      Diversity of the speakers and their experience;
3. Completeness of the proposal; and,
4. Relevance of the given topic to NAGARA members and/or the archives and records management professions.

Reminder for Proposal Submitters and Session Participants

Archivists and records managers who participate in the program must register to attend the Annual Meeting and secure institutional or personal funding. NAGARA cannot provide funding for speakers, whether they are international, non-archivists, non–records managers, members, or nonmembers.

Proposals for the 2016 Annual Conference are due on Friday, January 8, 2016
Please note that the Program Committee will not be able to consider proposals received after the deadline.
