Subject: MAC Announcement--Spots Still Available for Fall Symposium

There are still a few seats open for the Midwest Archives Conference (MAC) 2015 Fall Symposium, "Hard Skills for Managing Digital Collections in Archives"!
The symposium will be held September 18-19 at the Depot Renaissance Hotel in Minneapolis, Minn. Led by Bert Lyons and Joshua Ranger, senior consultants at AV Preserve, this two-day event is specifically designed to help archivists build the digital proficiency they need to successfully work with and preserve born-digital collections.
Attendees will be immersed in practical, detailed, hands-on demonstrations, introducing them to some "tools of the trade" and teaching them essential skills. The symposium is offered at a cost of $150 for MAC members, $175 for non-MAC members, and $75 for students and is limited to 65 participants.
