This workshop is offered by the Society of American Archivists and is co-sponsored by the West Virginia & Regional History Center, WVU Libraries.

Workshop Description:
If you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with fundamental appraisal theory and practice, this workshop is for you! You'll explore the three levels of appraisal, appraising non-traditional media, and the process of acquisition for both collecting repositories and institutional archives. And, you'll be part of a lively appraisal exercise.

Who should attend?  Archivists who have little to no experience in appraisal, or who want a refresher on the fundamentals.

Attendees must register in advance, and attendance is limited.
