POSITION OPEN:
SERVICE COORDINATION RECORDS SPECIALIST
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field preferred; one year experience in management of an electronic records system; strong computer skills and excellent analytical skills; works effectively in a group; excellent customer service
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
N/A
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILIES:
Assists the Records Manager with scanning and indexing electronic case files in the Service Coordination Department; compiles and analyzes record usage data and makes systematic changing to the indexing system; in accordance with HIPAA requirements, reviews requests for information and gathers specific confidential documents to disseminate to appropriate parties
Responsible for the maintenance and digitization of files and collateral sent or received by the Intake Department; sorts, purges, organizes, scans and indexes records maintained by the Intake Department; provides ongoing quality assurance of the system
Provides upkeep of the electronic case file catalog and indexing system; suggests and implements changes to the indexing system to reflect new county or state services
Assists Service Coordinators in locating documentation in the electronic case file; provides training to staff on an individual or group level in how to access electronic files, confidentiality procedures and records retention
