We just can't guarantee lunch since the numbers have already gone to the caterer.

The full program, which will be in your registration folders on Friday, is now also available as a PDF<http://www.ohioarchivists.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/soa-annual-meeting-program-2017.pdf> as well as the Schedule at a Glance<http://www.ohioarchivists.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/soa-annual-meeting-scheduleataglance-2017.pdf> on the conference page at http://bit.ly/soaam17.

The full program includes session descriptions, and there are a couple of sessions that particularly want you to bring questions/comments: #7 Ask a Preservation Professional and #9 Linked Open Data in Special Collections.

Note that the plenary begins at 8:45--a little earlier than usual.

If you are on social media, please use #soaam17<https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=%23soaam17&src=typd> and share away!

[cid:image003.jpg at 01D2CE6C.FA89A440]Welcome and Plenary - Kathleen Williams. "A Passion for Public Service."
Williams will discuss how through the work, holdings, and audiences we serve, archivists can claim a powerful and legitimate place in fulfilling a great public interest, now more than ever.
Kathleen Williams is executive director of the National Historic Publications and Records Commission, the grantmaking arm of the National Archives. At the NHPRC Williams has made her mark as she has driven programs such as Founders Online, which created for first time the ability to freely access the written records of six of our founding fathers-showing the original thoughts, debates, and evolution of our democracy. Williams also wanted to re-imagine the national grants program and helped create a new grant category encouraging citizen engagement in historical records projects. Other initiatives included electronic records management for state archives and profession leadership programs such as the Archives Leadership Institute.
