[SOA] Ohio Archivist Editors Needed

The SOA's biannual publication, The Ohio Archivist, is currently seeking an Assistant Editor of its "News and Notes" Section. This editor coordinates news from member organizations throughout the state twice a year for the publication.

In addition, the SOA seeks a new Editor-in-Chief for the Ohio Archivist beginning January 1, 2018.  The new incoming editor will work cooperatively with current editor, Gino Pasi, on the Fall 2017 issue and will take over exclusively for the Spring 2018 publication.

The Editor-in-Chief position, is a three-year, non-voting, council position that requires attendance at quarterly council meetings. This managing editor position entails the coordination and management of all the content for our statewide publication. Again this is only a content editorship; it involves no work in designing or format of the newsletter, though does require authoritative decisions about such matters on occasion.

The "News and Notes" position involves roughly 4-5 hours of work for each publication (2X per year) and the Editor-in-Chief, approximately 8-10 hours of work (2X per year).

Both of these positions provide good entrances into editing work and can be a springboard to editing a regional or national publication.
